Amy Buie is the founder and Executive Director of The Center for Autism
Education. She is a board Certified Behavior Analyst and has over
14 years of experience with students who have Autism, Asperger’s
Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Amy opened the school
in August of 2002 because she found that far too many children were
being taken out of public schools due to a lack of adequate programs
and resources for the “hardest of the hardest” kids.
She is also the Executive Director of AESS, Autism
Education and Support Services. AESS provides consultation to
school districts and families as well as offers workshops and training
across many states in the Midwest.
The Center for Autism Education is located in the Christopher S. Kit Bond Family Support Center in O’Fallon, Missouri. The facility is shared with Family Support Services a non-profit agency that provides services for families such as respite and after school care for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to assure that each student regardless of ability or economic level is provided as education in a positive and safe learning environment so that all reach their fullest potential.
